Graubünden liest

«Graubünden liest» («Graubünden reads») is a non-commercial initiative that Andreas Hosang and Elizabeth Kunhimon support through Hosang Consulting's engagement work. It promotes reading, character-building education and lifelong learning, rooted in Graubünden and shaped by Christian values.

Bücherbock

This page is an English-language summary. «Graubünden liest» itself — the books, the workshops, the conversations — is a German-language initiative rooted in Graubünden, Switzerland.

What the initiative aims to do

Reading connects generations, broadens perspective and helps people learn from history. The initiative supports free public book tables and related activities that make books accessible — for children, young people and adults alike.

Bücherbock and Pipliothek

“Bücherbock” and “Pipliothek” are the initiative's two sub-formats: free book tables in public places, curated around themes such as character, history, health and Christian values. Both names are German and are kept as they are — they are part of the initiative's identity, not a translation.

Why the initiative itself stays in German

The books, the book tables and the conversations around them are conducted in German, for a German-speaking audience in and around Graubünden. This page exists so that English-speaking visitors can understand what the initiative is — not to offer the initiative itself in English.

Questions

If you have questions about the initiative, you are welcome to get in touch — conversations can be held in English on request.
